Technical Adviser of Heartland FC, Christian Obi has rallied support from Imolites for the team to escape the drop, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
Heartland FC, who occupy the 20th postion on the log will take on Kwara United in a re-scheduled NPFL game at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
Obi pleged to rescue the team from relegation with the help of residents of the state.
“We are expecting victory. We went away and lost but there are prospects in it. We have finetuned the team and hopefully today, God will grant our efforts to victory.
“Heartland is the club of Imolites and if we love Imo and the club itself, I want everybody to put hands together. Let us work towards bettering the club.
“Whatever it is, I have done my own part in educating and controlling the team to do what is needful this evening.
“We also need the support of all Imolites in today’s game. It has been a bit difficult since the league started for me to win a match but I believe today will be different. We all are aiming to better Heartland.”
