Newly promoted side in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Sporting Lagos continued their fine form to the start of the 2023/2024 NPFL season after holding Akwa United to a goalless draw in Uyo, Wakawaka Sports Extra reports.

In Lafia, it was a five-goal thriller as Lobi Stars in their adopted home, got the better of Sunshine Stars by 3-2 to remain unbeaten so far in the 2023/2024 league season.

Meanwhile, Sporting Lagos and Lobi Stars are the joint table toppers on four points, closely followed by Bendel Insurance and Doma United on three points respectively.
