Imo FA Elections: Osy Nzenwa pledges to engage Youths in Owerri Zone, attract sponsors

Ahead of the Imo State Football Association, FA, elections, Osy Nzenwa, who is contesting for the board member of Owerri zone has pledged to engage youths in the zone.

Speaking with Wakawaka Sports Extra on Global FM Sports Update, Nzenwa promised to organise programmes that ensure the youths are gainfully employed.

According to him, more sponsors will be attracted to the Imo FA to ensure that activities and programmes are carried out for the growth of football in the state.

“Football is an avenue to engage youths out of idleness, out of restiveness. The plan is to help the FA to organize programmes to engage our youths gainfully.

“My major function I want to perform for the FA is to look for funds from sponsors so that we can engage a lot of youths in Imo State and our zone, especially Owerri.

“I’m giving my word to the state that I’m going to commit my time to Imo FA to be organised and engage our youths to be more productive.

“I played football for my school at Government College Umuahia. Even after leaving school, I have a football team that I play with in Lagos.

“My late uncle, Eze BSC Nzenwa was one time Chairman of Imo FA, he used to be the Chairman of Rangers Int’l. My family has always been involved in football and I will continue to give my all for football in the state.”
