He called for a speedy action on insurance system to enable retired athlete’s access basic healthcare and retirement insurance benefits.

“It’s so sad that even in death we are learning the difficulties he went through. Going from hospital to hospital but too bad he is no more.

“We don’t have any kind of insurance system for our sportsmen. In places where things work, insurance is the answer. I will keep preaching it that insurance for players is the answer because we don’t have to wait for government.

“If we have all these we won’t have issues of being unable to access basic healthcare in this day and age. Retirement insurance is also needed via PENCOM.

“It is easier to handle people in group and category. We are not structured because if you are structured you put those monies into the structure. By so doing you are boosting the service that is coming out of the system.”
