Newly elected National Deputy President of the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, Kelechi Mejuobi has pledged to advance the development of referees in the country.
Speaking with Wakawaka Sports Extra, shortly after he emerged winner at the NRA elective congress in Kwara State, the former NRA National Publicity Secretary disclosed that he will use his experience to make things better for the association.
“It’s a further confirmation of my service to the referee’s family having served two times as the National Publicity Secretary of the NRA. There was a clamour for me to come up and join and raise my profile by serving as the Deputy President.
“Nigeria referees has a future and we are working towards that and my new position is that I am going to power the course of referees in our country and draw out the needed support.
“I want to thank everybody especially members of Imo State Referees Council. It was a battle and we were able to conquer.”
