Dr Tobechukwu Justice Ehirim, Labour Party Governorship aspirant casting his vote during the just concluded State House of Assembly election at Njaba LGA in the state

A business Mogul and Governorship aspirant, Dr Tobechukwu Justice Ehirim, contesting under the platform of the Labour Party has called on the people of the state to rise up to the occasion of ensuring that the best emerges to take over the affairs of the state come November 11, 2023 when the Governorship election will be conducted.

Ehirim stated this on Saturday after casting his vote during the just concluded State House of Assembly election at his polling unit in Njaba Local Government Area of the state.
He pointed out that it is high time the narrative changes for good in the state, saying that the best way to achieve this is to make sure a personality who will bank on the people’s welfare emerges as the next Governor of the state.
The aspirant hinted that many thing have gone wrong in the state, and it is by ensuring that the right persons are manning the affairs of the state that it will be brought to an abrupt end.

According to him,” This is the beginning of a new era, the era of democracy, good governance, letting the best of us rule the rest of us in all spheres of life.
“It is time for Imo State to move into a new dispensation where disciplined and capable youths will take over the leadership of the state. We have no doubt that a new Nigeria is coming, and we want the state not to be left out of it.

“I am very elated that the young people of the state have called me to come up, and contest for the Governorship position. They have supported me, made sure we procure the form, and they have been tranversing the communities to make sure I lift the flag of the party for a new Nigeria, which is the Labour Party.
“We are prepared to take Imo from the dungeon where it is to the level it is suppose to be. The era insecurity, shabby education system, not paying teachers’ salaries, not paying pensioners, among others will be tackled headlong. Contractors not being paid by government as we reliably heard will be taken care of, and I will make sure that that public procurement of contracts are open and transparent to everyone eligible for it.

“It doesn’t matter how many people that are contesting for this position, for this is our era, and we want to see our people enjoy good life in this our generation.
All I urge you all, the good people of the state is to make sure the best of us leads the rest of us when the time comes”.
