Coach Tosar Blankson has honoured his late colleague, Dan Evumena by deciding not to celebrate his birthday which coincide with his burial rites.
Speaking with Wakawaka Sports Extra, the Delta Queens gaffer said the late Evumena was a diligent and hardworking colleague who was passionate about his job.
“First time I will not be celebrating my birthday just for my late colleague Coach Dan Evumena. Today which happens to be my birthday coincide with his burial rites.
“He is a great colleague. Even before we worked together in Delta Queens last year, we have been working as instructors in seminars. When I was the coach of Delta State University Abraka preparing for WAUG I invited him to come and give some helping hands. He was also the past Chairman of the Coaches Association Delta State branch, which I happened to be the T. O 2.
“It was fun working with him, you must be up and doing in discharging your responsibility. In sessions all he wants to see is your training programme. He doesn’t Joke with it. He built my confidence in the Media. As an assistant to him, when we have little misunderstanding, it’s always settled immediately.
“I thank God for a cousin I have, and a best friend of his (Edema Fuludu) who is always there for us. At this point I pray the good Lord will grant his soul eternal peace in Jesus name Amen.”
