Mbaise community in Dallas Texas, on Sunday February 12, 2023 celebrated the extraordinary strides of two of their best daughters and wife including Dr Keyna Omenukor in their different fields of endeavour for global impact.
The award ceremony which was organized by the Mbaise United Association of Dallas Forth-Worth, Texas featured the Award of the Mbaise Stars of Texas for global impact against cancer.
Presenting the award, the chairman of the board of Trustees of the MUA Chief Peter Claver Anyanwu recalled the great strides of Dr Omenukor through the David Omenukor Foundation both in Dallas, Texas and Nigeria.
He pointed out that the foundation has impacted globally and locally and commended the foundation for an amazing job.
The award which also recognized Dr Omenukor’s contributions to mentorship and community service attracted people from various works of life.
Receiving the award, Dr Omenukor, who is the founder of David Omenukor Foundation recalled that David Omenukor Foundation was established to immortalize her late husband who died in 2013 from colorectal cancer to ensure that no one else is caught off guard by colorectal cancer.
Dr Omenukor said that however in the course of her numerous medical missions, she found out that other types of cancers cervical, prostate and breast cancer are even more deadly and consequently has since extended the crusade against cancer to these frontiers.
Dr Omenukor said that the foundation will continue its battle against cancer and thanked everyone who has supported and encouraged the work of the foundation.
She appealed for more support pointing out that a united effort would hasten our victory in this crusade.

The second awardee, Dr Nomso Opara another brilliant and distinguished Mbaise daughter received Award for global impact in Nursing education.
