Coach Benjamin Nwokedi of Heartland Queens has called on the First Lady of Imo State, Chioma Uzodimma, to intervene in the team.
Speaking with Wakawaka Sports Extra after his team’s 2-0 victory over Osun Babes, the gaffer said his side lacks motivation.
He also urged Imolites to come to their aid saying that the team is the only side in the top flight division.
“The motivational level in Heartland Queens is average. We need more motivation from Imolites, government, commissioner in all aspects. Today, this happens to be the Premiership team in Imo State. I pray that let there be more motivation from every angle so that we can get it right.
“I want to call on the First Lady. I believe the players here are ladies also. Being the First Lady of this great state, I believe she has a reward for them. I seek for her attention.
“Her presence will be a motivating factor for us in anyway she can do it. We want her to be part of us we saw her enjoying the finals of the Betsy Obasaki football finals in Benin City last year we will also make here happy here he said.”

The players are owed backlog of salaries but they have managed to keep the team on a good position that will grant them a place among the top teams at the end of the season.
