The Anambra Football Association has commended the Interim Management Committee, IMC, for the great start to the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
In a statement by the Chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi, said that the State FA were impressed with the level of officiating in the matchday one fixture between Enugu Rangers and Abia Warriors which was hosted in the state.
Iloenyosi commended the NFF-led board of Ibrahim Gusau for its support to the IMC while urging them to maintain the momentum all through the season.
Wakawaka Sports Extra reports that the State FA pledged to work harmoniously with the league body aimed at ensuring the growth of the league.
“As the host FA of the Rangers vs Abia Warriors Match Day 1, we write to state that we were impressed with the level of officiating and all the other technical and organisational steps taken by the IMC to ensure the league is taken to the next level.
“We urge and your team to keep it up as the season progresses. From what we have seen from day one, we are convinced the IMC is out to turn things around.
“Count on the support of the Anambra FA in this onerous task of rebranding our league.”
