Chief Chika Okpala popularly known as Chief Zebrudaya Okoroigwe Nwogbo Alias 4.30 of the popular TV show that ruled the airwaves known as the masquerade and later The New Masquerade ,has commended the Nigeria Police Force on POCACOV Initiative and describing it as a step from right direction in changing thinking ,mindsets ,Behaviour/Action of people especially the young minds from negativity to positivity and for a functional Community.He made this known recently in Enugu while interfacing with the National Coordinator POCACOV,CSP Ebere Amaraizu on how to further deepen the Campaign through various Series that are mind changing, Parenting and Societal Pressures amongst others.According to Chief Zb as he was fondly addressed,I have carefully gone through the Aims and Objectives of POCACOV,I discovered that its programmes coincided with the cardinal objectives of our TV show then known as In the lighter mood which metamorphosed into Masquerade and later,The New Masquerade which was centered around effecting societal change positively hence ,I was attracted to the NPF Initiative which is also convivial.It was all about changing of mindsets ,Thinking ,Behaviour from negativity to positivity and to further remind people that No Hope is lost in making it in life and that what one need is the right attitude to be in right frame of mind .He further disclosed that POCACOV has the right message with right approach of involvement of all and sundry which is also a form of community policing.It is not all about arrest but it is all about changing the mindsets of people through several engagements program so that they will understand the fact that each wrongdoing has got it consequences.
He however maintained that modalities are in place through the instrumentality of POCACOV to ensure that those clips of In a lighter mood,Masquerade and The New Masquerade are put into youtube and other social media platforms in order to keep our young minds abreast of those old messages we conveyed during that time because,they are life changing messages which is supposed to be watched by young minds and to help refresh and rewaken the consciousness of that of Adult .It is all about Value reorientation.
Responding ,National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) CSP Ebere Amaraizu thanked Chief Zb for identifying with the Nigeria Police Force on POCACOV Initiative which is a community driven and public Relations Tool working with different stakeholders and multi agencies and galvanizing their support and partnership as well as enhancing participation towards problem solving ,for a safe ,peaceful and secured communities.He revealed that POCACOV is concerned with Advocacy, Awareness Creation ,Sensitization ,Reorientation and Mentoring.It is all about Mobilization ,Partnership ,Participation ,Problem solving.There was need for our young minds to understand that the mind is everything and what they think ,they become.They need to understand that there are positive deposit in them and so,need to discover themselves to be the champion they desire instead of towing the line of unlawful Socieities(CULTISM) Substance and Drug Abuse,Violent behaviours and Other Vices.
