Sir Mathews Otalike,KSG has joined the ongoing Nationwide Campaign of the Nigeria Police Force through it’s initiative called Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) set out to reorient young minds at all levels on the dangers of cultism,substance and drug abuse and other vices as well as offering of veritable platform of engagement with stakeholders and multi Agencies for joint problem identification and joint problem solving for a functional community.
Baring his mind to the newsmen in sokoto state after identifying with the laudable community driven initiative of the Nigeria police Force ,Otalike who served the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) meritously during his days as Zonal Director of NTA Network Enugu and with NTA Training College Jos ,applauded Nigeria police force on the Initiative which seeks to offer sustainable solutions to youth/young persons challenges for a functional community .According to him ,It is sad that substance and drug abuse ,Cultism ,violence and other vices are taking great toll on our society by taking out most of our young minds ,if all hands are on deck with POCACOV, I am sure the positive slide in morality will be reversed .I have followed POCACOV and it’s activities in both schools ,communities and even on parenting and I can say that this is absolutely good because it is all about value Reorientation.
Otalike is a Researcher ,writer with six publications to his credit with latest on Television Presentation Skills .He believes in working for the good of humanity and has been knighted by the POPE for Service to humanity . He is presently based in Sokoto state where he is involved in training of young minds on computer and communication at the BAKHITA Media Academy at the Sokoto Diocesan Secretariate.Otalike is now the Chairman of POCACOV Volunteer Club (PVC) Sokoto State ,For Safer Community ,peace building and Youth value Reorientation.
