A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Chief Nwachukwu Udaku, has described the action of some members of the party as undemocratic.
Udaku, who is a former PDP Leader in Nguru Nwenkwo Autonomous Community, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area , said that he believes in internal democracy that is hinged on giving equal opportunities to everyone.
Even as, he decried the act by some members at the ward and state levels saying that it doesn’t reflect with the party’s believe.
Speaking at the forthcoming general elections, Udaku said that the best candidate should emerge for the party at the polls.
According to him, “A three man delegation was called for affirmation, he noted with dismay that people came out but those that were to conduct the election did not come out.
Even as he frowned because of some people that vowed that there won’t be any election and they did it the other way round. He may it clear that, as one of the leaders in the area, he is a democrat and not the other way round.
Udaku expressed his readiness to support those who believe in internal democracy. Iadding that he also believes in equity, justice and fair play in politics.
The PDP Stalwart further said that he wish the best person to win. Pointing out that the people that are coming up, such as Peter Obi has the capacity. Adding that he believe that if they use the zoning arrangement, Obi should be the best person from the South East.
According to him, Atiku Abubarkar has capacity and impact, and he also believe that Tambuwal is a lawyer and seasoned too.
He said that, owing to the agitation, if you really less off burdens from the south east, it can carve out these warring people but if you take it to the north who knows.
