Young Minds have been reminded on the need to maintain good conduct as well as never to indulge in any form of negative behaviour like Cultism,Substance and Drug Abuse,Violent Behaviours,Bullying and other Social Vices in order to be a champion.This was made known on 10/3/2022 by the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) Team led by the National Coordinator POCACOV,CSP Ebere Amaraizu on the occassion of engagement of School Children with their Teachers under the POCACOV IN MY SCHOOL Activity for safer school ,Value reorientation ,Self discovery and strategic Leadership direction held Technical School Abor in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.According to the POCACOV Chief,As a young mind desirous of becoming a champion,you must distance yourself Cultism and other vices,You Must know who you best friends are and what is doing.You Must resist tempation of being lured into vices as short cut to success (Cutting corners)as suceess comes through hard work,obedience ,dedication and discipline.He informed the gathering that POCACOV is an NPF Community Policing Initiative and Public Relations Tool working with different stakeholders and Multi Agencies and galvanizing their Support and Enhancing participation for problem Solving,For a safe,peaceful and secured School/Communities.POCACOV is Non Kinetic he said and further urged them to remain focus as the future belong to those who know the beauty of it.
In her remark ,a POCACOV Stakeholder and the Country Director of Global Society For Anti- Corruption(GSAC) Comrade Mrs Amaka Nweke appreciated the students and Teachers and the efforts of the School principal,Mrs Ogwudile Nkechi for creating a platform for the sensitization and charged students to to shun all negative and corrupt tendencies in order not to destroy their future.You must distance yourself from any act capable of making you to compromise your integrity and that way ,you will become a champion.
In her welcome address ,the Principal of the School ,Mrs Ogwudile Nkechi,appreciated the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force under IGP Usman Alkali Baba on POCACOV Initiative by taking the message to rural schools and communities.According to her,this is the first of its kind and it is a good development that will help to make our children better citizens and also draw them closer to the police.I commend the Nigeria Police Force on this and appeal that you people will continue to be visiting us.
The Program was packaged by the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) in partnership with Volunteer Peace Advocate(V-PAD Project),Global Society For Anti Corruption(GSAC) with support from Technical School Abor,Udi Enugu state.
