It was all joy and celebrations as the State Chairman, The Police Campaigns Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) Volunteer Club, Anambra State, Prince Orjika Donatus, paid a Valentine working visit to Ogbunike Community Youths at the Town Hall, in Oyi LGA Council of the state, Monday, 14 February, 2022.
The Chairman who brazed the seat at at home holiday, was warmly received on arrival by the Youth Leaders of the Communit. He thanked them for their efforts at bringing the youth s together in such a manner and platform in the best interests of the community and society at large.
Addressing the teeming youths who gathered in numbers to celebrate the St. Valentine’s Feast Day, Prince Orjika Don.C, admonished the Youths to beware of the viles of end evil by remaining steadfast to submisive obedience to their parents, the Community and to live disciplined lives devoid of drugs and substance abuse, cultism, Yahoo Yahoo, gender violence and other social vices.
POCACOV, he said was established by the Nigerian Police Force to address the increasing menace of Cultism, Drugs Abuse and other vices amongn the youths in Nigeria in their Communities.
He further adviced the youths to develop some considerable interests in Agriculture and agro value chains with particular attention to yams, tomatoes, cucumber and Potatoes in bags farming, as a sure route to escape poverty and gain economic inclusions. He said, agriculture and agro value chains have become a cash cow for youths in rural areas under the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and call on the teenagers to embrace agriculture as a hobby.
The Chairman took time to teach the youths some beautiful soul lifting songs that aligned with the philosophy and missions of POCACOV. He promised to continue the POCACOV in My School and POCACOV in My Community visitations to entrench POCACOV VOLUNTEER CLUB presence in various schools and communities across the state; aimed at effective community policing and security of live s and property. He called on stakeholders of the state to support POCACOV by voluntary cash and material donations to enable him activate more Volunteers and embark on more missions.
The hallmark of the visit was the donation of POCACOV calendar and cash pledge to support the Community Youths as support while also promising return next year with his team.
