A renowned football enthusiast and administrator, Joseph Uzoma (Onwa), has commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for acquiring the services of Ex-International, Emmanuel Amunike to work alongside Augustine Eguavoen in the Super Eagles.

The Giant Brillars supremo said this during an interview with newsmen, shortly after his side picked a draw with Ikorodu City FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL).

He applauded Amunike for being consistent since his days in the U-17, noting that patience and hard work paved the way for him to secure a position in the technical crew of the Senior National Team.

” I know when he started from the U-17, the question they asked him was if he can serve from the lowest cadre, and he said yes which has seen him progress to the Super Eagles.

” I believe in having good work and patience and I have confidence that this quality combination will go far in securing the World Cup ticket for us. He said

Uzoma went further to praise his side for their outing in the first NNL game of the season, where they earned a precious point off Ikorodu City FC.

” This is the first outing and I know my lads. Before the play more games you will see changes. I am more impressed with the draw than losing the game.

” Before we can go to the NPFL, we make sure that we train them to be better and secure offers from foreign clubs because we are nurturing them to be better.” He concluded.
