The Chairman Imo State Basketball Association, Kelechi Anosike has assured Basketball lovers in the south east that the game of basketball will witness a speedy growth with the coming on board of Ugo Udezue as the south east representative on the board of the Nigeria Basketball Federation.
Anosike said this after the CEO of leading Sports Wear in the Country, Alfa Sports was elected into the board of the Federation at the (NBBF) elective Congress in Benin City Edo State Capital earlier in the week.
Anosike who spearheaded the south east Unity front to re elect Engineer Musa kida as the president of the Federation said the the five states of the south east decided to work for the progress of Basketball in the country, by allowing Musa kida led adminstration consolidate on the gains of last four years which has made the nation a leading force in the game around the world today.
The Mbano born former player of Delta force said the zone regretted the absence of Ebonyi state at the poll after the state chairman Rev Fr Magnus assured south east basketballers that his vice Chairman was on his way to Benin for the Congress.
He urged the Ebonyi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to investigate the where about of the state delegates to the election.
Mr Anosike, CEO of Kulupan investment Company, ltd Congratulated all the delegates from , Imo , Abia, Enugu and Anambra state for conducting themselves orderly at the Congress.
