Amaraya Football club of Mbaise will join ten other teams at this year’s end OISA International Football extravaganza at the Onwubiko International Football academy ground Ngo Okpala Imo State.
Chief coach of the team, Mr Nwankwo Ekene Gabriel, disclosed this developments to the media over the weekend,
The modest football club was founded less than a year ago by the CEO of Amaraya foundation, Mr Amarachi Ogu and his wife Mrs Yulanda Anuli Ogu .
They couple established the club to assist the less privilege in the society and to get to this stage the team has been involved in top friendly games to shape the team for the future.
The teams game against Heartland Football club which ended in favour of Professional league side is one of the games.
The team has made several efforts to boost future team development, aware of the poor state of football development in Mbaise nation and are ready to re-address them.
Speaking to newsmen on the reasons for establishing the team, the CEO said; “after taking a look at how footballers from Mbaise have taken the back seat expecially at the national team, I decided to take the bull by the horn by establishing the club. The competition in Okpala will bring out the best in the team and make them engage some of the other external teams in the country.” He concluded.
