The Inmate of correctional service facility in Enugu was on 26th November,2021 engaged positively with several passion Talks bothering on message of hope and self discovery under the POCACOV Not too late to discover yourself.The event which also attracted the presence stakeholders and Agencies like National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA),State Ministry of health amongst others,was packaged to celebrate the birthday ceremony of Monday Diamond a pocacov Ambassador and the special Adviser to the Enugu State Governor on Culture and Tourism whose birthday was on 26th November,2021.In his Remarks,the celebrant thanked all for honouring him including the inmates and charged them not to loose hope as there is still time to discover themselves since there is life.There is place is not your place and so,you are bound to leave one day according to him as he admonished them to remain a changed person anytime they leave the yard with a hope of discovering themselves for a better society.In his Speech,the state commissioner of Health represented by Pharm. Casmir Odo warned against dangers and consequences of substance and abuse in relation to its health and psychological implication and warned them to resist that tempatation that will push them into the evil effect of substance and drug Abuse.He enumerated various kinds of drugs such as the deadly crystal meth popularly known as mkprumiri amongst others.The Representative of the NDLEA , Spoke also on the evil effect of Drugs and its abuse and the need to SAY NO TO It for a better future.
In his presentation ,the National Coordinator POCACOV CSP Ebere Amaraizu thanked the Nigeria Correctional Service Enugu state Command for giving the platform to interact with the inmates on the subject matter and urged inmate not to loose hope but to look positive at all time towards discovering themselves for a better society.
The inmates also prayed for the celebrant and for a better society.
