Heartland football club goal keeper Femi Thomas has expressed higher ambition of gunning for the league trophy.
Thomas who recently joined the club and has featured in most of Heartland’s preseason tournaments told silvernews that despite the fact that the team is targeting a continental ticket, his personal target is gunning for the league trophy.
“I feel so very happy, I discussed with the GM, I mean the management of the team and they promised to set a standard this season, that’s what brought me to the team. With their efforts and how everything is going on, I think we are going some where.
Yeah they said they want a continental ticket but for me as a player, I think the trophy should be the best for us so our target is the trophy, for me as a person but the team wants a continental ticket. “
Thomas was rumoured to have attracted interest from outside the country but the move seemed not to have happened. When asked what happened to that plan he replied.
“Nothing really happened everything depends on God and am still believing on God to do something so am still working very hard on it thank you so much.”
