“The team spirit and bond in Heartland FC camp was the reason for our win” - Jonas

HEARTLAND FOOTBALL CLUB.

Heartland FC star striker Emmanuel Jonas has attributed the team success in the field of play to the brotherhood bond in the Heartland FC camp.

Jonas told the Statesman Newspaper in an exclusive interview after their 2-0 win against Rivers United FC in the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select preseason tournament fixture on 16th November at the Dan Anyiam stadium Owerri.

The star striker netted the curtain raiser in the 19th minutes to put the Naze side in front while Peter Nwadike coverted the second goal from the spot in the 85th minutes of the game.

2-0 it ended as Heartland FC carried the day. Speaking to our correspondent, Jonas said;

“I feel great and excited, i thank God for the game today. We won so we give God the glory.
Life in Heartland Camp is a bitter sweet experience in the sense that it is tough and challenging but at the same time, the bond between us as players is great. If you notice from the game we played, you will see the team spirit, the bond and the team spirit was responsible for our win today on the field of play.” Jonas told the Statesman Newspaper.
