The personal assistant to the Nigerian Football Federation president, Mr Chikelu Ilanousi has commended the federation for providing an enabling platform for the home based super Eagles to thrive and prove their worth by creating friendly match fixtures, silvernews.com reports.
In an exclusive interview with Waka waka sports extra, Mr Ilonausi said “we have a lot of talented players in the selected home based team and I commend the NFF for this arrangements because we need tournaments of this sort to get the desired results from the home base professionals players.
The players are all good and I believe that with time they will make good impact with the help of the coaches.”
He also reiterated that he went to the camp of the team with the technical adviser of the national team to watch the players during training.
“I visited the team along side the technical adviser, they are all doing well and they are all young players.
I’m really happy with what the president is doing for providing lots of games via friendly matches for them in order to prepare them for the task ahead.” Mr Ilonausi concluded.
