The screening process for the formation of Imo State newest women football club, Imo Strikers Queens Fc kick started yesterday at the old stadium Owerri .
The team which is the idea of former Chinese base player . Prince Chidi Chinedu started with a one day inter school championship involving selected secondary schools across the state.
The general coordinator of the team Nelly Orisakwe said the team decided to start from the school to provide opportunity to young players at the school leavel who will join the other players discovered from the open screening that will form the main team.
She said that the main team will compete at the state and national leavel during the next football season is coached by experience grassroot coach , Alex Ndulaka.
