Nigerian centre-back Victor Collins, has ended his spell with Tanzanian Premier League side Singida Black Stars, after terminating his contract due to months of unpaid salaries.
The Enugu-born defender returned to Singida after completing a loan spell with fellow Tanzanian club Mtibwa Sugar SC.
He has now mutually terminated his contract with his parent club.
Collins, initially joined Singida Black Stars from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL)side, Nasarawa United on a free transfer. Following the termination, he is now officially a free agent and is free to sign with any club.
Delayed monthly salary payments remain a major issue in Tanzanian football, and Collins’ case is the latest example of players walking away over financial disputes.
