ENUGU, NIGERIA – September 7, 2026 . The United States Government Exchange Alumni Association Nigeria, USGEAAN, Enugu State has pledged to deepen its partnership with Igbo Global Icon Projects Nigeria and the Enugu Window on America to equip young people with values, morals, and mindsets that drive sustainable development.
The commitment was made on Monday during a partnership visit by the leadership of Igbo Global Icon Projects Worldwide, led by its President and Founder, High Chief Nnabueze Louis Kanife, to the USGEAAN Enugu Secretariat at the Enugu Window on America, UNEC.
Coordinator of USGEAAN Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu, said the alumni network is moving beyond certificates to action.
“We are a dynamic network of Nigerians who have participated in U.S. Government-sponsored exchange programs. Now, we are turning that experience into action and community impact. We are strengthening ties between America and Nigeria, enhancing professional growth, and driving sustainable development through alumni-led activities. This is because we Unite, Empower, and Transform – together.”
He assured of USGEAAN Enugu’s continual partnership with Igbo Global Icon to help young minds eradicate harmful beliefs, embrace improved ones, and rediscover themselves.
“Our goal is simple: Help our youth replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones. When the mind is free, the community develops.”
Amaraizu commended Igbo Global Icon Projects Worldwide for its giant strides in youth development.
Director of Enugu Window on America, Dr. Edwin Arum, welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Window’s mandate.
“Enugu Window on America provides a welcoming environment for young Nigerians to learn about the United States, enhance their skills, and take part in educational and cultural programs. We offer workshops, discussions, networking, and resources focused on community development, leadership, and cross-cultural understanding.”
He commended USGEAAN Enugu for championing impactful programs and assured the Window’s partnership with Igbo Global Icon for sustainable development.
High Chief Nnabueze Louis Kanife, President and Founder of Igbo Global Icon Projects Worldwide, expressed satisfaction with USGEAAN Enugu’s ongoing mentorship series for young persons.
“This partnership we have opened today is aimed at using our culture, language, values, morals, standard and discipline to mentor and educate young persons. It will help change dangerous narratives and beliefs they are holding, and replace them with better understanding of family and societal values. This leads to self-understanding, unity of purpose, teamwork, resilient mindset, and self-discovery for greater communities and sustainable development.”
He commended Amaraizu for various life-changing initiatives and pledged continual partnership with USGEAAN Enugu and Enugu Window on America.
High Chief Kanife was accompanied by Mrs. Lilian Agbo, Publicity Secretary, and Mr. Williams Onovo, PRO of Igbo Global Icon Projects Nigeria.
