Former Kwara United coach Abdullahi Usman Biffo has been shortlisted among 25 coaches for the forthcoming CAF A Licence coaching course scheduled to begin on September 14, 2026.
The development marks another important step in the coaching career of the experienced Nigerian tactician, who is currently based in the United States of America and is part of the Nigeria national team setup.
Biffo earned his place on the shortlist following his successful participation in the CAF B Licence refresher course, paving the way for him to advance to the prestigious CAF A Licence level.
The coach, who arrived in Nigeria last week, was recently spotted at the G Innovation FC training ground in Ikeja, alongside the club’s CEO, Mr Chigozie Nwagwu.
Biffo has built considerable experience in Nigerian football, having previously handled Kwara United and worked with players and teams at different levels of the game.
His selection for the CAF A Licence programme is expected to further strengthen his technical and tactical knowledge while enhancing his coaching credentials.
The development has been welcomed by members of the football community, with Biffo’s continued professional development seen as another positive step towards improving coaching standards in Nigerian football.
The CAF A Licence course will provide participating coaches with advanced training and exposure as they seek to improve their capacity and contribute more effectively to football development.
