Hours Ago, I had the honour of representing my principal, mentor, and benefactor, Hon. Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, former 2nd Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, former Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League, former Member of the House of Representatives, and former Director-General of the National Sports Commission to reward an exceptionally talented young Nigerian.
By the grace of Allah, I presented ₦150,000 to Fatee Yola, on his behalf, following a beautiful and heartfelt Hausa tribute she dedicated to him.
Deeply touched by her kind words and the joy she brought him, Hon. Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, in his usual spirit of generosity and compassion, instructed me to present the gift to her as a token of appreciation.
This is yet another reflection of his commitment to recognising kindness, encouraging talent, and extending a helping hand to those around him.
On behalf of Hon. Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, I sincerely appreciate Fatee Yola for the beautiful gesture.
May Allah reward my principal abundantly for his generosity and kindness, continue to elevate him, and bless him with greater opportunities, success, and a beautiful and highly blessed reward in the days ahead. Ameen.
Affectionately,
YUSUF MAITAMA
