On September 3, 2026, the Queen of Peace Model Secondary School in Oboama Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State, became a beacon of hope and unity as it hosted the conclusion of the Ahiara Diocesan Block Rosary Crusade 5th General Congress. His Lordship Bishop Simeon Okezuo Nwobi, CMF, the Catholic Bishop of Ahiara Diocese, presided over a powerful Mass that underscored the theme of the congress: “Mary Inspires Us to Shine.” This uplifting event, aptly named OBOAMA 2026, drew over 2,000 attendees, all eager to celebrate their faith and community.
The Father of the Day, Prof. Eddie Oparaoji, along with the National Patroness of the Crusade, Noble Lady Prof. Mrs. Viola Onwuliri, representing the Ahiara Diocese Worldwide Laity Council, brought their wisdom and support to the gathering. In his remarks, Prof. Oparaoji expressed heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Father Valentine Emereonye and his dedicated team for orchestrating such a successful congress, highlighting the importance of teamwork and faith in achieving collective goals.
As attendees left the venue, they carried with them not just the spirit of unity but also a renewed commitment to shine brightly in their communities, inspired by the powerful message of Mary. OBOAMA 2026 stands as a testament to the strength of faith and the ability of communities to come together in celebration and service.
