Barau Football Club have completed an impressive pre-season campaign, recording 10 wins and two draws from 12 matches without a single defeat, while scoring 59 goals and conceding just 11.
The remarkable run gives the Maliya Boys a positive 48 goal difference, with an average of 4.91 goals scored per match. Their biggest victory came in a commanding 12–0 demolition of Galado FC.
The team also recorded convincing victories over Maicharbi, Legacy FC, Queens United, Na’ibawa Academy, Kano Cars, Dream Big, Matasa FC and Danbatta United, while drawing against Darazo Academy and Niger Tornadoes.
Match-by-Match Results
Barau FC defeated 12–0 victory over Galado FC, a 4–2 win against Maicharbi and an 8–1 triumph over Legacy FC.
They continued their impressive form with a 4–1 victory against Queens United before drawing 1–1 with Darazo Academy. The Maliya Boys then defeated Na’ibawa Academy 7–1 and Kano Cars 3–1.
Another emphatic 6–1 victory followed against Dream Big before Barau FC were held to a 1–1 draw by Niger Tornadoes.
The team then defeated Matasa FC 5–0 and followed it with another 3–0 victory over the same opponents. Also a 5–2 victory over Danbatta United.
Atule Leads Barau FC Goalscoring Chart
Forward Joseph Atule emerged as the leading scorer in the supplied statistics, with 10 goals.
He was followed by Henry Ezeonye, who scored eight goals, while Daddy Abdurrahman contributed six goals.
Ibrahim Ayoola scored four goals, while Energy Kennedy, Stanley Oganbor, Ahmadu Liman and Ebuka Nwokorie each recorded three goals.
Bismark Duah, Aliyu Sugau, Casmir Azubuike, Uche Moses and Usman Maidubji scored two goals apiece.
Moses Tsehuan, Nasir Baggio, Chisom Chiaha and an own goal completed the remaining goals in the supplied goalscoring records.
Atule’s goals came across several matches, including two against Legacy FC and two against Dream Big, while he also scored against Queens United, Na’ibawa Academy, Kano Cars, Niger Tornadoes and Matasa FC.
Henry Ezeonye also enjoyed a productive pre-season, scoring twice against Dream Big, twice against Danbatta United and once each against Maicharbi, Na’ibawa Academy and Legacy FC.
Daddy Abdurrahman was another key contributor, scoring twice against Galado FC and Legacy FC, as well as once against Maicharbi and Queens United.
Strong Assist Numbers
Atule was not only the team’s leading goalscorer but also topped the assist chart with five assists.
Ahmadu Liman provided four assists, while Aliyu Sugau, Daddy Abdurrahman and Ibrahim Ayoola registered three assists each.
Nasir Baggio and Suur Kumaga contributed two assists apiece, while Adamu Hussain, Al’Amin, Bismark Duah, Casmir Azubuike, Energy Kennedy, Idris Saidu, Moses Tsehuan, Saad Tijjani and Stanley Oganbor each recorded one assist.
The match-by-match assist records showed Ibrahim Ayoola producing two assists against Galado FC, while Joseph Atule registered two assists against Maicharbi.
Against Legacy FC, Casmir Azubuike, Nasir Baggio, Al’Amin and Ibrahim Ayoola each provided an assist. Idris Saidu, Ahmadu Liman, Daddy Abdurrahman and Suur Kumaga also supplied assists in the victory over Queens United.

Galado FC Match Highlights
The 12–0 victory over Galado FC was the standout result of the pre-season.
Ibrahim Ayoola, Bismark Duah, Ahmadu Liman, Casmir Azubuike, Nasir Baggio, Aliyu Sugau and Chisom Chiaha all scored once.
Daddy Abdurrahman and Energy Kennedy scored twice each, while Joseph Atule added one goal.
