The Rangers International FC Foundation is set to partner with Kunie Foundation to advance social impact initiatives and community development programmes targeted at children and youths in Iva Valley, Enugu State.
On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, representatives of Kunie Foundation, led by its Communication Manager, Mr. Uchenna Igboeme, paid a courtesy visit to the Rangers International FC Corporate Office to discuss areas of collaboration aimed at empowering young people and fostering sustainable community development.
Kunie Foundation is a non-governmental organisation with operations in Enugu and Abuja, dedicated to nurturing children, promoting community development, and creating opportunities for young people across underserved communities in Nigeria.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Uchenna Igboeme stated that the foundation’s core mission is to inspire children and youths living in disadvantaged communities to dream beyond their circumstances and pursue meaningful opportunities.
“At Kunie Foundation, we are passionate about creating impact and helping young people actualise their dreams. Our interventions focus on healthcare, education, social justice, and economic empowerment. We see Rangers Foundation as an organisation that shares similar values regarding community development, and we believe this partnership will help us engage and empower youths in Iva Valley through sports and other developmental programmes.”
Speaking further, the Finance Manager of Kunie Foundation noted that many children in local communities struggle with low self-esteem, a challenge that often limits their potential and aspirations.
“Through our engagements in communities, we have discovered that many children battle with low self-esteem. We want to help these children discover themselves through sports and education. This is why we seek to partner with Rangers Foundation in harnessing and grooming talents beyond formal education, helping them become confident and productive members of society.”
Responding on behalf of the Rangers International FC Foundation, the Chairman, Coach Ebere Amaraizu, reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to creating meaningful social impact across communities and educational institutions through initiatives such as Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Kick Out the Limit, sports intervention programmes, and other youth-focused projects.
He welcomed the delegation from Kunie Foundation and expressed optimism about the proposed collaboration, assuring them that the partnership would be formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Also speaking, the Foundation’s Legal Department representative, Favour Ogbodo, commended the leadership of the Rangers Foundation under Coach Ebere Amaraizu for its unwavering commitment to community development. He also praised Kunie Foundation for its dedication to youth empowerment and expressed confidence that the partnership would deliver impactful results in line with the disruptive and innovative development agenda of the Governor of Enugu State.
The proposed partnership is expected to leverage the power of sports, education, and social development to create opportunities for children and youths in Iva Valley, enabling them to realise their full potential and contribute positively to society.
