Management of Solution FC, Awka, Anambra State, has issued an official statement clarifying the registration and ownership status of player Raphael Orngudwem following reports of a petition questioning the player’s eligibility in the ongoing 2025/2026 Nationwide League One (NLO) season.

In a report dated May 22, 2026 and signed by the club’s Team Manager, Okoye Amakom Augustine, Solution FC explained that the player was duly registered by the club before the commencement of the first stanza of the 2025/2026 football season.

According to the statement, Orngudwem presented a release letter from Abakaliki FC during his registration process with Solution FC.

The club further disclosed that the documents were submitted through representatives connected to Cynosure FC, alongside a separate loan transfer letter indicating that the player belonged to Cynosure FC and was only released temporarily.

Solution FC stated that based on the documents provided and the understanding reached between all parties involved, the club acknowledged that the player rightfully belonged to Cynosure FC.

The statement also revealed that the player was later dropped by Solution FC on January 20, 2026 due to what the club described as unsatisfactory performance.

The Anambra-based club noted that concerns had emerged following allegations that Cynosure FC fielded an ineligible player, with recommendations reportedly suggesting that points earned by the club in the ongoing NLO season be withdrawn.

However, Solution FC maintained that the release letter issued to Cynosure FC by its manager on January 20, 2026 was authentic and not forged as alleged in some quarters. The club added that both Solution FC and Cynosure FC mutually recognized the player’s ownership status.

The club appealed to relevant football authorities and league management to conduct a fair and objective review of all available documents and communications before making any disciplinary decision that could affect Cynosure FC or other parties involved.

Solution FC reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, professionalism, and compliance with football regulations governing player registration and transfers.
