Barau FC captain, Usman Maidubji has paid glowing tributes to Kano Pillars ahead of the crunch derby billed to hold on Sunday at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
The Maliya Boys will confront the Sai Masu Gida side in a match day 29 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, encounter and would look forward to extend their impressive form since the commencement of the second round.
The skipper, who eulogised Pillars during his stint with the club, declared the readiness of his current team to be at their very best for the eagerly-anticipated clash.
According to him, “Kano Pillars was a team I was once a player in, and the one I grow everyday and love for.
“Football sometimes brings you ahead of those you have worked with. But that adds value and meaning to the game. I honor the memories I made there, and wish them all the best.
“Today my heart is with my current team. We are ready to give all we have in the field for our club and our fans. May it be a good game, and full of respect.”
