By Silvernews

Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers has joined Greek giants Panathinaikos from Rangers on a permanent deal. The 30-year-old, who will wear the No. 33 shirt, leaves the Scottish Premiership side after two successful seasons at Ibrox.

Dessers scored more than 50 goals in over 100 appearances for Rangers, winning the League Cup and finishing as the league’s top scorer before sealing his move to Greece. He previously featured in Serie A with Cremonese and had stints in Belgium with Genk and in the Netherlands with Feyenoord, Utrecht, Heracles, and NAC Breda.

The Nigerian international is currently with the Super Eagles squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and is expected to make his Panathinaikos debut after the international break.
