Football excitement is set to grip the town of Uvuru, Mbaise, as preparations are in top gear for the kickoff of the 2025 Uvuru Super Pro League, scheduled to take place at the Oke Ovoro Secondary School sports ground. The highly anticipated grassroots football tournament promises to showcase emerging talents and ignite the local football scene with energy and passion.
Organized to unite communities through sport and promote local talent, the Uvuru Super Pro League has built a reputation for attracting large crowds and fierce competition. This year’s edition is themed “Light Up Uvuru with Soccer”, reflecting its goal of bringing vibrancy, entertainment, and unity to the people through the beautiful game.
The LOC Chairman, Mr. John Amechi, expressed optimism about the event, calling on residents to come out en masse and lend their support during the opening ceremony. He noted that their involvement underscores the significance of sports in fostering youth development and strengthening community ties in the Mbaise region.
The tournament is powered by Mr. Chidiebere Nwanedo and partners, who remain committed to using sports as a tool for social impact and community development.
