The management of Katsina United Football Club expressed their gratitude for the act of kindness shown by the Tarilaye Nwankwe chairman of Bayelsa United after their 1-1 draw on Matchday 12 of the NPFL in Yenagoa. Members of the Katsina United team were pleasantly surprised when the General Manager arranged for a bus to transport them back to Katsina after their official team bus broke down following the game.
This gesture demonstrated the true spirit of sportsmanship, reinforcing the belief that football serves as a unifying factor. In the words of former Commissioner of Police in Imo State, CP Rabiu Ladodo, “Football is the only thing that brings Nigerians together, regardless of religion or occupation.”
