The smooth handling and rapid acceleration associated with these cars appear to encourage risky driving, contributing significantly to the rising incidence of road accidents.
Road safety observers note that the consequences of such recklessness are evident in the alarming number of crashes recorded daily, many of which lead to serious injuries and loss of lives that could have been avoided.
They emphasise that the practice of defensive driving is critical to reducing accidents on Nigerian roads.
