The Tasieobi Global Foundation on Thursday, October 16, 2025, extended its Back To School Project to Olokoro Girls Junior Secondary School, Ahiaukwu Olokoro, in Umuahia South LGA, Abia State, as part of activities marking the International Day of the Girl Child. Despite the early morning rain, the team received a warm welcome from the school management and students, creating a lively atmosphere of hope and learning.
Led by the Deputy Mayor of Umuahia South, Hon. Barr. Enyinnaya Nwosu, and his team from the Enyinnaya Nnameka Nwosu Foundation, the outreach featured motivational sessions, speeches, and the distribution of educational materials. Ms. Nkese Eyo, the project coordinator and representative of partner organization JCI-Uyo City, introduced the goals of the Foundation and the essence of the project.
Founder of the Foundation, Sir Elvis, encouraged the students to be purposeful and intentional in their pursuit of education, urging them to model the resilience and excellence of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. He also acknowledged the support of the State Government and the Umuahia South LGA Chairman for enabling the Foundation’s continuous educational outreach.
In his remarks, Hon. Nwosu praised the Foundation’s commitment to youth development, expressing joy that such a project had reached his local government area. He hinted that the State Government would soon renovate the school to make learning more conducive, while commending the Foundation for supporting a noble cause.
The Headmistress of the school thanked the Foundation and the Deputy Mayor for their visit, praying for God’s blessings and continued success. The team later proceeded to Union Primary School 1, Ibeku, in Umuahia North, where the project continued at the invitation of Chief Tony Ndulaka, the Eze-Elect of the community.
