In a significant move to combat youth unemployment and promote agricultural innovation, the Emma Njoku Foundation has launched a major Agricultural Skill Acquisition Program, empowering 300 young Nigerians. The initiative, hosted at CSS Global Integrated Farms Ltd in Gora, Nasarawa State, draws participants from three catchment areas: Imo State, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Taraba State.
The first batch of participants, comprising selected youths from Imo State, departed for Nasarawa on Friday, May 9, 2025, where they joined their counterparts from the FCT and Taraba State. These youths are currently undergoing intensive training in modern agricultural techniques, agri-business models, and sustainable farming practices as part of the Foundation’s Agric Tech Empowerment Program.
According to Hon. Chidi Anyanwu, former Supervisor for Works in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area and Personal Assistant to Barr. Emmanuel C. Njoku, the Foundation is committed to creating a new generation of agro-entrepreneurs through hands-on training and mentorship.
“The Emma Njoku Foundation is investing in the future of our youths by equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the agricultural sector,” Hon. Anyanwu stated.
The second batch of trainees is scheduled to commence training in two weeks, immediately following the graduation of the current participants.
The Emma Njoku Foundation continues to play a pivotal role in youth development, with a focus on agriculture as a tool for economic transformation and self-reliance.
