Kun Khalifat FC’s Technical Adviser, Coach Obinna Uzoho, has been named the NNL/ProStar/Sportslight Hub Coach of the Month for February 2025, following an unbeaten run with his team throughout the month.
In an emotional statement, Coach Uzoho dedicated the prestigious award to God, the club, his family, and the fans, acknowledging the collective effort behind the achievement.
> “First and foremost, I give God all the glory for His blessings upon my career as a coach. It wouldn’t have been possible without His grace and mercies,” Uzoho said.
The coach extended heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Michael Chukwudi Amaefula, President of Kun Khalifat FC, for trusting him with the coaching role, as well as to Chief Charles Nnadi, the club’s General Manager, and the entire management team for their unwavering support.
He also praised his technical crew and players for their hard work and discipline, stating that their performance was instrumental in the club’s February success.
> “Their solid performance helped us go unbeaten in the month of February,” he noted.
Coach Uzoho didn’t hold back in thanking his family, emphasizing the critical role his wife and children have played in his career.
> “The support of my wife and kids has been massive, and I don’t take it for granted,” he added.
Acknowledging the passionate fanbase of Kun Khalifat FC, Uzoho highlighted the role of supporters in the team’s drive and motivation.
> “Everything the players do on the pitch—at home and away—is because of our great fans. The extra runs, the extra tackles, the goals, the saves, everything is because of you. This award is for you,” he said.
Concluding his remarks, Coach Uzoho described the recognition as a call to greater responsibility and a reminder of the club’s ambition.
> “Thank you all so much for believing in me. Without your support, this award would not have come through. It is a call for us to do more at Kun Khalifat FC.”
