All is set for the highly anticipated launch of the Ilulu book, titled “I LULU NA AKPAALAOKWU IGBO”, scheduled to take place on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025. The event will be held at the Ahiara Podium, Ahiara Technical School, opposite St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Eke Ahiara, by 12:00 noon.
As part of activities lined up for the book launch, the Greater Mbaise Development Forum (GMDF) has announced that the Igbo Quiz Competition for secondary schools across the three Mbaise LGAs—Aboh Mbaise, Ahiazu Mbaise, and Ezinihitte—will kick off tomorrow, Friday, April 11, 2025.
Eighteen secondary schools, six from each LGA, have been carefully selected to participate in the competition, which will take place in two phases.
Phase One (Preliminary Round)

Phase Two (Grand Finale)
The final phase of the competition will take place during the book launch ceremony on April 21, at the Ahiara Technical School grounds. Prizes will be awarded to outstanding participants.
Chairman of the Launch Planning Committee, Barr. R.A. Onyeulor (Ph.D), urged all members of the Greater Mbaise Development Forum and the general public to participate by attending the quiz events and the main launch ceremony.
“This event is a bold step in promoting the Igbo language and preserving our cultural identity in Mbaise. We encourage everyone to support this noble cause,” he said.
The Ilulu book launch is expected to be a historic and culturally enriching gathering that will showcase the literary and intellectual vibrancy of the Mbaise region.
