Last weekend, one of Imo State’s finest footballers, Anderson Joe Anyiam, received a warm reception from the Abuja Big Boys Recreation Club during his visit to the capital. The visit honored his long-standing connection with former Imo State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Ifeanyi Ararume Jr., who fondly nicknamed him “World Best Player” due to his exceptional skills on the pitch.

Anderson, a retired footballer and second-generation son of Nigerian football legend Dan Anyiam—the first captain of the Super Eagles—was celebrated for his rich football heritage and immense talent.

During a friendly training session with the Abuja-based team, Anderson wasted no time making his presence felt. The gifted star scored a sensational hat-trick, drawing admiration and applause from both teammates and spectators. His outstanding performance further solidified his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most exciting football talents.
