Heartland Queens football club mid summer target, Ogunremi Aminat bagged double award as the highest goal scorer and the Most valuable player of the tournament award in the just concluded SOSSA Dean’s Cup tournament in University of Benin Edo state, the Statesman newspaper sports desk can exclusively report.
The pacy attacker netted 10 goals in five matches for her side, Economics department and also won three Queen of the match awards in the tournament which helped Economics department emerge champions of the Dean’s cup.
The Eco department star forward scored a hatrick against sociology and another Hatrick plus 1 against political science department.
Her contributions propelled her Economics department to the final where they battled Sociology in the final to emerge champions of the tournament.
Ogunremi having bagged the golden boot award also bagged the MVP award of the tournament and will be ready to join profession side next season after academic pursuits in UNIBEN.
