The quarters performance is courtsey of the Owerri mainstreams’ emphatic two unrepliied goals victory against NWFL Championship side, Delta Babes in Tuesday’s matchday 2 game at the turf of Western Boys High School in Benin City.
Two first half goals on a largely waterlogged and unplayable pitch from petite attacker, Emmanuella James guaranteed the Owerri landladies her back to back victories.
The Owerri side will now wait till Thursday to play her last group’s game against the 2024 BOWFT whipping Beninois side, Aigle Royal d’ Adjara at the Western Boys High School.
