Ex-Iwuanyanwu Nationale Players Urges Govt to Immortalize Fallen Heroes

Ex-Iwuanyanwu Nationale players has called government to immortalize the fallen heroes of the club, Silvernews.com.ng reports.

 

The former players organization led by Isaac Mbika stated this during the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the death of its players in a plane crash.

 

Recall that 30 years ago, Iwuanyanwu Nationale players (now Heartland FC) of Owerri died in a plane crash in Tamaransett, southern Algeria. A private aircraft BAC-111 of Oriental Airline carrying thirty players.

 

 

Those that lost their dear lives include; Captain Ameachi, Captain Chinedu Ogbonna, Obiageli Ezeh, Omale Aimuamwosa and Uche Ikeogu

 

According to Mbika, the organization will always remember their sacrifices for the club and country and pray God to grant them internal rest.
