Former Nigerian league player and defensive strongman for Elemats of Imo State, Collins Nwaneri AKA Mbaise is sick and in need of serious medical attention.
The former teammate of Chidi Nwanu at Scorpion Derger of Mbaise got injured playing for his community in what used to be one of the biggest football competition in the old Imo State – the Itu Aka Nguru in 1997.
It happened when he tried to clear a goal bound header from the 2O06 best defender in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Ceracus Ndukwu.
Speaking with Wakawaka Sports Extra at the residence of the sick player, Ndukwu called on all sports lovers to immediately come to the aid of ‘Mbaise’ as he is called by his supporters for his massive present in the heart of any team he played in.
Collins played for teams like Osusu Pillars and NPA of Warri before the injury that cut short his career.
He is a member of Mbaise All Stars and was instrumental to the success of many young Footballers in Mbaise.
