Future Academy football club of Ozara has successfully completed it’s affiliation on Thursday the 18th of July with Imo state football association, the Statesman Newspaper Sports Desk can exclusively report.
The Academy which has over 60 registered players ranging from different categories of Under-16, Under-18, under-20 and then the senior team has its base and training ground located at Ozara Central school pitch Ozara, in Oru West LGA of Imo state.
The Club owner, Ewurum Uchenna Marvelous revealed to our correspondent that the club has been in existence a long time ago but the affiliation is just coming now because he feels that the team is now ready to face the world.
In his words, “I believe this affiliation to the Imo FA is long overdue because we have so many unharnessed or hidden footbaling talents scattered all over Ozara and Ohapku, including neighboring towns like Egbu and Amorka.
“But these talents are hidden and are yet to blossom because of lack of exposure to the global community. But going by this affiliation, we can now do the business of football and help this young lads reach their true potentials and also make money.
“Thanks to Hon Ahize Nnamdi for seeing through this affiliation successfully I believe with this we will be ready for the next stage of sports development in this part of the state.
“We can now participate in National and International competitions and also do business with foreign clubs. We need the exposure to grow and trust me when i say that we are ready for the world stage. It is now Ozara youths to the world.” Ewurum concluded.
