The Enugu State Taekwondo School has intensified efforts for her 1st Quarter 2024 Athletes Grading in grand style.
This was made known to Newsmen by the Chairman Enugu State Taekwondo Association, Ebere Amaraizu while explaining the essence of Athletes Grading in Taekwondo.
According to Amaraizu, Grand Master Dennis Ani and team of Taekwondo Masters in the school have been able to take on these athletes made up of children, young persons as well as adults through series of Taekwondo classes and drills as well as sparring techniques for a successful outing.
The epoch making Taekwondo event will provide platforms for promotion from one Taekwondo belt to the other and based on the their conduct and understanding of Taekwondo tenets, drills, poomsae, sparring techniques amongst others.
He further disclosed that the event will take place on 11th May ,2024 beginning by 8 am at Taekwondo Pavillion at the Indoor Sports Hall of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.
The event which is supported by Cope and live Mental Health Awareness foundation will be featuring about 70 athletes slug it out in their weight categories with the fighting spirit of becoming a champion.
On his part, Grand Master Dennis Ani thanked the Chairman of the Enugu State Taekwondo for his leadership qualities and passion for sports development especially Taekwondo.
He applauded the efforts of his team and the likes of masters Musa, Frank and Chibuzor and assured they are set for the epoch making event which is a normal ritual in Taekwondo.
