…Charges appointees to meet expectations
Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has been urged to separate Ministry of Youths from Sports or create Youth Development Commission as is the case in states like Kogi to ensure effectiveness and integration of youths in social welfares.
This request was made by Imo youths through the State Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Barr. Ezinwanne Chimuanya Udoka, while having audience with our reporter in Owerri on Tuesday.
Udoka said when the Ministry of Youths is separated from Sports or the Youth Development Commission is created there would be much avenues for youths in the state to evenly get enriching financial empowerment and hence become more valid, useful and responsible.
Hence, he appealed to the Governor to emulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who he praised for creating Ministry of Youths, which he believes will always carter for the interest, welfare and wellbeing of the youth who he pointed out deserve financial, educational and skills empowerment.
“Imo State Government should separate the Ministry of Youths from Sports to ensure effectiveness or create Youth Development Commission as is the case in states like Kogi”, he stressed.
Meanwhile, the NYCN Chairman said he was happy for the Governor for appointing and inaugurating distinguished Imo sons and daughters into his cabinet to help to reconstruct, rehabilitate and recover Imo State.
Congratulating the cabinet members, Udoka charged them to be focused as to meet expectations and needs of the people who he mentioned hold them in high esteem.
