Chairman of Confluence Queens, Honorable Abdulmalik Isah Dolly has commended players and officials of the club for securing the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership Super Six qualification.
Honorable who visited the team’s training at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium on Monday noted that the team have performed beyond expectations of many and also charged them redouble efforts towards achieving success at the playoffs.
He assured the team of government continued supports towards more success.
“I really want to thank you all for making our Super Six dream a reality.
“The technical crew led by Sabo Okala has done a wonderful job. I’m proud of you coaches, my players, the Team Manager, thank you for your efforts. The back room staffs were also not left out.”
“I promise to do more to ensure we have a good outing at the Super Six, your welfare is our major priority, I will continue to put more efforts.” Said Dolly
The chairman also gave the team the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (100,000) as appreciation.
Captain of the team, Hauwa Abdullahi thanked the chairman on behalf of the team, for his efforts and supports also.
In her words “On behalf of the team, my chairman we say thank you for your unrelenting efforts, we really appreciate you.
“We are grateful and shall continue to put more efforts. We will do our best at the Super Six to make the state proud .”
Confluence Queens who finished second in group A, will be joined by Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia, Heartland Queens of Owerri, Edo Queens of Benin, Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa and Rivers Angels of Port-Hacourt for this year’s NWPL Super Six to battle for the 2023/24 title.
