Ex-Iwuanyanwu Nationale Worldwide players have boosted Heartland FC financially to beat rivals, Enyimba FC in the Oriental Derby billed for the Enyimba Stadium Aba, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
The Naze Millionaires, who are languishing in the relegation zone will contend with the Aba warlords in a match day 30 NPFL encounter.
According to the President of Ex-Iwuanyanwu Nationale Worldwide, Ibika Isaac Ibika, the former players decided to support the team to ensure the team escapes relegation.
He charged the team to go all out to secure the maximum points in Aba saying that the ex-players are committed to ensure the team beats the drop.
His words: “Ex-Iwuanyanwu Nationale Worldwide from the executive to members are out to support our darling team, Heartland FC, the only professional club we have in Imo State.
“Iwuanyanwu Nationale is the senior brother to Heartland and the game against Enyimba FC, dollars will rain and what I mean is that our people in diaspora are going to do something to motivate them.
“Last week when we had meeting with the management and players, the captain of the team assured us that they are going to win and coming out with victory against Enyimba. That motivated me to bring something on behalf of Ex-Iwuanyanwu Nationale if they beat Enyimba FC.
“We motivated them that each goal they score against Enyimba is N100,000. I gave them my own money but Ex-Iwuanyanwu Nationale Worldwide, I am speaking on behalf of them until after the game.
“The executive told them that if they can be able to win five matches, they will get out from the relegation zone. After the game against Enyimba, we will still meet them and talk and strategize.
“I have told the technical committee to think ahead not only Enyimba. We won’t allow the team to go on relegation again.”
